For a plain-English explanation of how Pronto handles your data in practice, see the Security page.
The short version
Pronto connects your GitHub org to your Slack workspace so your team can see PR status at a glance. We collect the minimum we need to make that work and nothing else.
What we collect
- Your GitHub org name and installation ID (from the GitHub App install)
- Your Slack workspace ID and bot token (from the Slack App install)
- PR metadata: title, status, author, reviewer — the same things visible on GitHub
What we don't collect
- Your source code — we never read file contents or diffs
- Slack message content — we only post, we never read your conversations
- Personal data beyond what GitHub and Slack give us as part of their OAuth flows
How we use it
Only to run the service: route GitHub webhook events to the right Slack workspace and display PR status in your App Home. We don't sell data, run ads, or share it with third parties — except Stripe, which handles billing.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as you have Pronto installed. Uninstalling the GitHub App or revoking Slack access removes your org from our system. You can also email us to request deletion.
