FAQ
Does Pronto read my Slack messages?
No. Pronto posts DMs and updates the App Home tab. It never reads channel messages or DMs between users.
What GitHub data does Pronto access?
PR metadata — titles, status, CI check results, review state, and your notification feed. It never reads code, diff contents, or comment bodies.
How long is my data retained?
PR metadata is retained while a PR is open and for 30 days after it closes. If you uninstall, all data is purged within 7 days. See Security for the full data policy.
Can I use Pronto in multiple Slack workspaces?
Yes. Each workspace install is independent. Connect your GitHub account in each workspace separately.
Can our whole team install it at once, or does each person install individually?
An admin installs the Slack app once for the workspace. Each team member then connects their own GitHub account individually via the DM the bot sends, or via the App Home settings tab. There's no bulk enrollment.
How do I remove Pronto from our workspace?
Go to your Slack workspace settings → Manage apps → Pronto → Remove. This revokes Pronto's Slack permissions and triggers data purge within 7 days. You can also revoke the GitHub App separately from your GitHub settings.
