Troubleshooting

I'm not receiving bot DMs

Slack sometimes blocks DMs from apps by default. Check your Slack notification settings:

  1. In Slack, go to Preferences → Notifications
  2. Under "Direct messages", ensure messages from apps are allowed
  3. Check that you haven't muted the Pronto app conversation

If DMs are allowed but still not arriving, try disconnecting and reconnecting your GitHub account from the App Home settings tab.

The App Home shows no PRs

This usually means your GitHub account isn't connected, or the connection has expired.

  1. Open the Pronto App Home
  2. Look for a "Connect GitHub" banner — click it to reconnect
  3. If no banner appears, go to the Settings tab → scroll to "GitHub account" → click "Reconnect"

After reconnecting, click the ↻ button to force a refresh.

Notifications are delayed

Pronto relies on GitHub webhooks for real-time updates. Delays typically mean webhook delivery is backed up on GitHub's side.

Check githubstatus.com for any ongoing incidents. If GitHub status is green and delays persist beyond 10 minutes, email hello@pronto.so with your workspace name.

I uninstalled and reinstalled but data looks stale

After reinstallation, the App Home may show cached data from your previous session. Click ↻ to force a full refresh from GitHub.
